Physical Well-being

Wicked Mutts care’s about your pet’s health, safety and wellbeing. We want to assure you that every effort will be made to make your pet's visit as pleasant as possible and will do what is best for them.

Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. In the best interest of your pet, we request your permission to obtain emergency veterinary treatment should it become necessary. 

Problems occasionally arise with grooming such as nicks, clipper irritation, and mental or physical stress. These issues are more likely if your pet is severely tangled, matted, or is of advanced age (>9 years old).  

Should veterinary care be required for any more serious issue that results from any services rendered by Wicked Mutts, you agree to notify Wicked Mutts within 48 hours of the grooming visit. Reimbursement for such care will be at the sole discretion of Wicked Mutts

Matting so severe may need to be shaved by a veterinarian.

If your dog becomes too stressed out, the dog will be sent home and you may be charged a pro-rated amount of what was completed. 

Wicked mutts is NOT responsible for skin irritation due to matting from owner's neglect to brush at home in between grooms. You agree you will not hold Wicked Mutts responsible for any accident or injury to your pet under these circumstances.

Aged pets, difficult and aggressive pets, or severely tangled or matted pets have a greater risk of injury during grooming, Wicked Mutts cannot be held liable of any hidden or pre-existing health/skin conditions. You agree you will not hold Wicked Mutts responsible for any accident or injury to your pet under these circumstances.

You agree Wicked Mutts may bring your dog to Veterinary Urgent Care Center, 926 Providence Hwy, Dedham, MA, or a closer available veterinarian if you’re absent, to treat the pet as necessary at your expense.

You acknowledge that you have informed Wicked Mutts if your pet bites, has bitten, is aggressive, unpredictable and/or has any other behavioral issues. You recognize that if you have failed to notify Wicked Mutts you will be liable for all medical fees, out of work compensation, and all property damage that result from your pet.

Flea/Tick Infestation:

If upon inspection of your dog that I find it to have FLEAS, I will not be providing any services. Your dog is to be immediately picked up and you will be charged an appointment fee 25% of your total. If your dog is in the tub when I find fleas, I will use a flea shampoo and you will be charged for the bath. Once the infestation is gone, your pet may be welcomed back for grooming. TICK infestation passed 10 ticks may be charged a fee for removal. This is under Wicked Mutts' discretion and on a case-by-cases basis. We encourage every pet to be treated regularly for external and internal parasites and cannot be held liable for any conditions related to such. 

Vaccinations

The Rabies vaccine is REQUIRED. Distemper and Bordetella (Kennel Cough Vaccine) are recommended.

Please wait at least 48 hours after any shots before grooming services.  Grooming immediately after shots can aggravate the site and make your dog sore after standing and moving for long periods at a time.

Leashes

Please bring a leash for your dog(s). If you do not have one, please notify me so I can use a slip lead.
